Apple announces 600 new apps built for Apple Vision Pro

Apple has officially announced that over 600 apps and games have been developed for its Vision Pro, set to launch on February 2. This mixed-reality headset boasts compatibility with a variety of streaming services, including Disney+, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max, and others.

The Vision Pro will support more than 250 Apple Arcade games, such as Super Fruit Ninja and Bloons TD 6, and offers a unique experience with apps from cable providers like Charter, Spectrum, Comcast, Cox, Sling TV, and Verizon Fios.

Among the standout apps are PGA TOUR Vision and NBA, providing real-time shot tracking on 3D models of golf courses. Entertainment options include Hold the World, allowing wearers to virtually visit the Natural History Museum with David Attenborough.

Voyager by ForeFlight offers spatial context to air traffic control coordination. Additionally, users can virtually shop for clothes with J.Crew Virtual Closet and design homes with Lowe’s Style Studio and Wayfair Decorify.

The Vision Pro isn’t just about entertainment; it supports productivity apps like Box, MindNode, OmniFocus, and OmniPlan. Work-focused apps such as Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Notion, and Todoist are also compatible.

Apple is optimistic about the headset’s success, with Vice President Susan Prescott highlighting the innovation by developers in creating more than 600 spatial apps. The official launch countdown has begun, promising a diverse range of experiences that go beyond traditional boundaries.
